Our Story

Ofer Mizrahi has been an active leader in Miami product and place-making development projects for over 20 years.  Mizrahi has an eye, a vision, a forward-thinking style of frame and format. His first interior design project was a "future-forward" product showroom in the Miami Design District before it was known for luxury retail. Shortly thereafter he revitalized a "brownfield" warehouse facility in an adjacent neighborhood to be a focal point for art exhibits and events. That area is now known as Wynwood.

Always looking ahead, Mizrahi then set his sites on the warehouse district in Miami's Upper Eastside and launched the MIAMI IRONSIDE project to form an enclave, a European-style village complex alongside the railroad.  IRONSIDE is an ongoing organic development that caters to the community and the cultural shifts in art, architecture, and design trends.

Mizrahi has been honored by March of Dimes Building Our Community Awards for “Community Excellence in Architecture & Engineering,” and referred to by The Wall Street Journal as a pioneer in the community with regard to “seeing the value of eco-friendly construction materials, and in so doing, he encourages businesses to set new standards in green architecture and design."

In a Wired Magazine interview with the architect and industrial artist Ron Arad, he was quoted as saying about Mizrahi, " is it an oxymoron to say he's an idealistic developer? Anyway, he might be one."  Florida Sun Lifestyle Magazine's article Destinations, refers to Mizrahi as "Maestro" and "a visionary of the first hour." With circular economy strategies in mind and place, Mizrahi is now working on developing IRONSIDE in the Little River Arts District.

Urban Oasis in Miami

At Miami Ironside, we believe a truly global community thrives without barriers. That’s why we’ve seamlessly integrated lush greenery into our surroundings, creating a hidden gem—a park-like enclave that exemplifies sustainable design and infrastructure. Just one block from the City of Miami's Manatee Bend Park, IRONSIDE serves as a landmark along six blocks of the historic Palm Grove neighborhood, nestled beside the railroad tracks.

The IRONSIDE Arboretum is home to the region's largest private collection of Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, complemented by an array of Poincianas, Live Oaks, and Coconut Palms. Perimeter landscaping features vibrant Climbing Jasmine, Creeping Fig, and colorful Bougainvillea, creating a lush and inviting atmosphere at every corner.

Our gardens are a sanctuary for bees and butterflies, showcasing a self-sustaining natural habitat. Walk through our gateway into the piazza and lemon garden, where Monarch, Zebra Longwing, Gulf Fritillary, and Giant Swallowtail butterflies bring the space to life. The gardens are adorned with specialty plantings, including native species like Milkweed (a host plant for Monarchs), Wild Coffee, Scorpion Tail, Beautyberry, and Coontie. Culinary and aromatic favorites like Citronella, Rosemary, Basil, and Lemongrass add another sensory dimension to the experience.

IRONSBEND, an exciting new development, is set to redefine the IRONSIDE community. Envisioned as a destination that blends entertainment, art, wellness, and hospitality, IRONSBEND promises to inspire, engage, and rejuvenate. Among its emerging spaces are the House of Games, a hub for interactive fun; the White Room, a sleek and modern event venue; and an expansive outdoor lot destined to become a lush, verdant oasis.Designed with safety, comfort, and sustainability in mind, IRONSBEND features secured parking, impact-resistant windows, and high ceilings, all within a securely fenced perimeter. As this project takes shape, it will embody the future of IRONSIDE—a vibrant, green, and community-focused destination that invites you to be part of something extraordinary.

Circular Economy

Ironside has been host venue for The Circular Economy Club Miami since 2020!  A sustainably crafted pedestrian complex of placemaking (an ongoing process), Ironside honors the historic context of the community.  As a SITES-certified applicant with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Ironside implements measures to protect eco-systems, provide wildlife habitats, and reuse- repurpose-recycle as well as reduce energy and conserve water.

The Global Goals

In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals. These goals have the power to create a better world by 2030, by ending poverty, fighting inequality, and addressing the urgency of climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, to work together to build a better future for everyone.
